Here's what I wrote for our office blog post:
Dr. Cindy Brayer (Downtown St Petersburg Dentist) signed herself, her family, and her staff up for the downtown St. Pete race
February was National Children’s Dental Health Month. We did some things in our office, but we also signed up for a local downtown St. Petersburg race!
Pediatric Services of Florida’s 10K/5K Suncoast Classic Run for Kids is an event to promote efforts that improve the health and well-being of children and raises money to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay. The event commences with a wheelchair race followed by the 10K race, the 5K race, Pelican Mile, Kids Fun Run and ends with an awards celebration filled with music, fun, and prizes!
That was our post-race picture. This is while poor Tyler waited in the rain in the cold for the race to start.
I backed him up to give him some cover at a garage door right by the start line.
Giang and I started together.
Tyler and I finished together. Jason ran with me for a part but at a slight up hill area, he ran ahead. Dr. Brayer finished after I did. Giang actually finished although she had to walk. It was her first 5k! Leslie did the 1 mile walk since she was pretty far along in her pregnancy. Dr. Brayer's kids were going to do the 1 mile but missed it.
