Turkey Bowl VIII

A lot of people play back yard Turkey Bowls on Thanksgiving morning. Steven's friends have taken it to a whole new level. They make such a big deal out of this football game. They trash talk and Darren actually practices. Most of the guys call this single game their work out for the year. Darren was going out of town for Thanksgiving, so they did it on a random Sunday morning. This year they had lots and lots of players. They have rules and a ref. One tradition is that they all have to weigh in at the beginning. I think it's just so they can make fun of each other for being too skinny or too fat or not good for being in shape. Who knows what these boys do. I go for the pictures of the kids. We don't all get together that often. I had to leave before some of the fans (moms and kids) got there because we have church, of course.
The huddle Isaac with ice and Noah with footballs. Noah LOVES balls.
Dylan looks up to his dad and friends.
Darren is officiating the weigh in. Steven was first on the scale. Why do they do this again? And why is darren wearing a small V.F.W. women's softball shirt?
Kirsten was being so fun with my boys. They were the first 3 kids there. Kirsten and Dylan were having so much fun looking for bugs in that tree. Dylan has talked about her since.
I think Corrie took this picture of all twenty-something players, the ref, and some of the kids, and one mom.

They should play more often. I think the guys had fun, and I know the moms and kids want to get together more.
