Spring break part 1 of Monday

Lotsa pics so here is a start.
Julia cut her 7th tooth yesterday, Palm Frawn Sunday. Letter Q.

Today the crews came over. They started on their ipads. All 4 kids.
Ivy and Tyler played upstairs in my bed with all of the things Ivy brought. It was quiet. I could plan the day.
I had the kids turn off theit ipads, listen to my plan, let them know I was a little disgusted with how long they had been at it, told them that Julia just fell asleep and if she awoke before I could clean, set up, and do our lesson, we would not go in the pool.
Since they had burned only 5 calories to that point, they were wrestles and not quiet. I sent them outside.
Julia stayed asleep so we continued. They played then we sat down to have a lesson. We started with enacting Jesus' triumphal entry. I make the poor kids sit and listen. Then they get to act and hold photos and stuff. They put up with a lot, but I think having them listen to me and understand my priorities is good for them. The more I plan, the better life will be.
They liked acting out the triumphal entry with clothes and palm branches under their donkeys :)

Spring Break (almost)

Today was a good day. I almost ruined it by falling asleep on the couch by watching TV but got up. I started out by actually being the one to answer the door when Corrie got here. I probably was still in my PJs, but I was up and had been doing things already! We read the Book of Mormon story about Nephi chopping the wicked king Laban's head off b/c I had forgotten the brothers' 2nd attempt. I read at lights. I dropped the kids off and went to the library. It's college spring break so it didn't open until 9. SO we read books outside with the smokers. The kids colored, pasted, and pupped showed it up. We played inside and outside and in the pool for the first time even. I got my big camera out and took photos of the outside fun. (not pictured.) We ate lunch. I made peanut butter energy chia coconut balls. I napped when Julia napped. I woke up a lot of times to listen to Tyler and Ivy being good. We picked up the boys and went to Brother Bissey's to pick loquots again. I made freezer jam with the loquats and made sloppy joes. The kids played outside more and we ate by the pool. Isaac and Tyler went in, Isaac really swam around. I bathed us and julia since she was sooooo sandy in her hair. I was late to church, but that's ok. Then I blogged here, blogged for ffp, created 3 documents/signs and emailed them to the printer for work and made lunches with the new loquat jelly. phew! Oh, and I wrote my senator asking him to keep the time change to this time. I like it.

li'l climber

Julia is a climber, always reaching for something higher. She's so cute! She's 10 months old, has 6 teeth, has curly hair when it's humid, holds on when she's on my hip, shreaks sometimes - especially if she has climbed on something and can not get down, nurses still, says "up" only still, doesn't want to walk while holding our hands but walks around furniture fine, likes her pacifier, and is my sweet bay-b'-grrr.

#whereIAm

Our church's most recent hashtag campain is #whereIAm. I posted a photo and my friend said I should hashtag it. Here it is.
#WhereIAm right now is with this baby girl, playing dress up, making daisy chains, listening to her repeat first word, "up." I get to kiss her soft cheeks and let her grip my fingernails and flick them (or my shoes) while her big brothers, dad, and grandpa play sports at the park, we stay to the side and play a little with the camera, go for a jog which is my only possible exercise, and love the blue skies. I love that it was such a pretty day last Monday, the day off of school and work. My mind could focus on my family be clear. When I'm inside, my baby is still attached to me, but I can not appreciate her as much because I am either at work a couple of days or am stressing about the photos I need to get out to the girls at church, the piano teacher and the missionaries. I write to do lists to include the blog posts I should be creating, the dishes I should be washing, the charities with which I'm trying to partner for church and/or work and the rooms I should be de-cluttering. Tyler is my other baby, my "baby boy" as he proudly personifies. We listen to scriptures played at 2x speed or to Pentatonix's "Mary Did You Know [that your baby boy...]" on youTube. Tyler brings me back to this outside place where the sky is blue and my babies are my world. This is Where I am right now in my good life.

Sabbath Day

"There are a lot of things in the gospel that are like brushing your teeth. You don't want to skip them or it's really gross." -Julie Meyers, Beatitudes Lesson in Sunday School 3/1/15
