Cocoa Beach day 2

Tyler woke up with a fever. Steven took the big boys down for breakfast then I went on a mommy date with Julia. She eats a ton when she's hungry!

Then I took the kids to the beach for the day while Steven stayed in the hotel room the entire day. It was his vacation, but he still stayed in the whole day! I had him leave to go get our late lunch so he wouldn't get cabin fever.
He did help us set up the tent while Steven stayed in the room with Tyler.

Isaac went back to the room to get her pacifier. Steven had the extra flip lock locked so Isaac accidentally woke Steven up. Steven was happy to have had an actual relaxing weekend. He also did research on his phone for the ALJ position.
There were hardly any waves, so we didn't bother renting surfboards. We brought the boogie boards and the boys stayed in the water most of the time.

Kelly Slater is a famous surfer who is from here. We saw this statue in the middle of the road (in the median) and its replica at dinner the night before. Dylan asked me to take a photo and pointed out that he was even on the front of the board. How did he remember that?!

Steven has been reading Harry Potter with the kids each night and we read some on the drive over. We finished the book that day! We ordered pizza for dinner and Steven got that too. Tyler felt a little better and ate a little.

I liked that the sign is neon b/c I made my Seminole geofilter look neon and I hadn't noticed it before. :)

Then we rented the first Harry Potter movie and watched with candy that Don had sent with us.

Sick day Stress day

I called in sick. B/c Isaac is sick. (Julia is always clingy and is not all the way healthy either.)
---
We just got done with round 3 of the kids alternating fighting with crying. (They rest between rounds in their respective time out corners.) They started when I was bringing in sleeping Julia from the car. (You guessed it, she did not sleep long.) I thought it was handled.
I went outside to clean the car and came back to round 2.
Round 3 commenced while I was making sandwiches. So I'm giving up trying to get even normal things done today and will spend the rest of the day right here. (Until the inevitable rounds 4-49 I'm sure.)
---
Going to work is way less stressful, but it IS good to cuddle.
---
I had to contact SO many people to stay home. 2 babysitting friends, teachers, @dbeckfl who helps w a couple of carpooling responsibilities, an awesome past office manager @kimberlydowdy current office manager, other hygienists, boss, social media helpers since I am missing a lunch event, not to mention my full day of patients. I feel horrible. Thursdays are hard. I am always needed in at least two places at once. Thank goodness I am healthy! (Knock on wood) #oopsithinkithoughtthiswasmyblog

This morning, Isaac and Julia were so good to one another (before the other kids got here and fought over these little rubber bands.) #rainbowloom #sickday #bigbrotherlittlesister

Julia is better

She us not tip top, but no more fever!
I took her to Dylan's field trip. He and his friends matched!
Julia was the center of attention to the girls there!

Sick Julia

Poor baby girl.
Doe texted that Julia woke up from her nap with a fever and didn't feel like herself. That was about 4:30. I still had a patient getting an exam who wanted me to clean his teeth. I rushed out of work but still didn't fet to her until 6 something. Doe and Michael had attempted to give her tylenol but since her dever had not changed, they assumed she had pushed too much back out so I should give her more. I was at church for my temple recommend interview right before 6:30. Julia puked as I turned into the church. I think she had gagged on some hair or something. She was breathing. Tyler said she was ok. I changed her burning little body. Steven pulled in with the other boys. They watched Julia while he went to volleybal and I talked to brother/president James. It was quick. By the time we were home and semi settled, I took her temp and gave her Tylenol. She was 103.6 degrees! After a          bit I put her to bed. A half hour later, she was awake. Same 103.6 fever. What?! I called the pediatrician and talked to the emergency answering service who said our pediatrician was on call. An All Children's Hospital nurse called and said that since she is already on antibiotics from her sick visit yesterday that we can just monitor her. Since she was sleeping, she is probably not in pain. Call if it goes up but give it another 24 hours.
Oh yea, Isaac had a fever all day Mother's Day. Then Julia had a fever that night and some Monday. Tuesday she seemed ok until the evening.
I gave her Tylenol and she perked up. The next morning she was pulling at her ears and had a 102 fever again. Dr. Patronella said she had another double ear infection. She mentioned tubes in her ears perhaps. Julia lost weight too and was 18lbs exactly.

Julia keeps waking then sleeping on us.

Her fever went up a tenth. I gave her ibuprofen and the amoxicillin and put her in bed.

Play!

On a Monday, I went to go drop off a print order in St. Pete.
There was a crash so we had to take a detour and look what park we found!
It was in the middle of a neighborhood and I'm not sure I could find it again, but I took note then we went there after dropping off the prints and CD.

I called a friend who lives close and she and her son met us there. We talked while the kids played. Perfect.

Tyler and Ivy are miss matched b/c I had to wake Tyler up and just put his clothes in the diaper bag. But maybe I dropped his shirt on the driveway b/c I couldn't find it. (It was buried in the diaper bag, oh well.) And Ivy leaked on her clothes so that's why she changed.
After nap time, I noticed Tyler's eye was pink. It had been crusty in the morning but I was hoping it was just sleep in his eye. I got Malia, then Dylan, then we went to our doctor's office. They said that he had an ear infection too, so they gave him the pink stuff instead of drops. (The pink stuff isn't pink any more, in case you're wondering.)
It was Tyler's 1st time taking antibiotics. I accidentally skipped a day and his eye got yucky again. So they called in stronger Amoxicillin. We got a babysitter right after  we gave him his first dose but in the morning he had a couple of patches of small bug bite looking areas. We dressed him, gave him his morning dose, then after his nap, he was itching his belly button or something. I lifted up his shirt to see that it looked like he had more bites on his tummy and back! I replaced his bedding and clothes. My mom thought it was an allergic reaction. I didn't know what to think but an hour after he took his night dose, he got the small hives/bumps around his hair line, then on his chin, and other patches. I called my cousin's husband, a pharmacist, to ask him for advice. He said to keep a close watch on him and call 911 if anything started swelling or if he had dificulty breathing. He was fine over night but I called in the morning. I was supposed to go to the beach and instead waited for the doctor to call back. The nurse said not to give him the morning dose and to wait for the doctor to see if we needed to take him in or not. I called at lunch time to ask if I should give him benedryl b/c some more popped up on his face even though I hadn't given him anything since the night before. She said yes then called an hour later to say that they would call in a 3rd Rx. They called in Cefdinir in. That night, he took it, then an hour later, the rash popped up again! So in the morning the nurse called me back to tell me to just be done with antibiotics. I'm not sure what he's allergic to, but Isaac got a couple of bumps a couple of days later, they were smaller but on his face. Wierd! He did puke on Tuesday night and we had a movie day and stayed in our PJs. And Dylan puked last night and had a PJs day today, but he got hungry and ate dinner and was fine after his 4 hour nap. Isaac napped on his puke day too.
I took the Crew girls to their dad then we went to the mall for some Easter shirts and pants. The shirts were on sale for $3 each!
I would have finished shopping but I didn't have a stroller for Tyler and I didn't want to wake him. My back was killing me! It's worth it though, I took the infant seat knowing that it would be a long day for my baby.
